What does the red flag emoji that has been widely used on Twitter recently mean? – Latest technology news

Traditionally, red flags are used to indicate hazards or issues that require a person’s attention.

When Twitter users mark their posts in red, they are often describing something they see as a major problem or problem with someone else.

What do people warn each other about?

In short, everything. People tweet about sports, food, movies, music, politics, and more that they find problematic. These tweets are usually posted as a joke.

Twitter says there has been a 455 percent increase in tweets with emojis in the US compared to last week. On Tuesday, 1.5 million red flag emoji tweets were posted worldwide.

Social media giants also joined this caravan. Red flag tweets from accounts such as Whatsapp, Twitter, LinkedIn and MTV.
